Songs for Suffering – Artwork – Ch.4

Chapter 4 – “I need help here”

Storm on the Sea of Galilee

Chapter 5 →

Amy writes:

It occurred to me whilst reading Chapter 4 that in times of great distress and danger it is not polite prayers but desperate heart-felt cries for help that are heard; not only from those who believe in God but from many of those who profess they do not know him.

I thought of the time on the Sea of Galilee when the disciples of Jesus (some of them fishermen) cried out in fear and panic to Jesus who was asleep in the boat. The violent storm had sprung up suddenly and threatened to capsize the boat (Luke Ch.8 v. 22-25).

I painted this illustration as I imagined the scene.
